Where Art Meets Medicine

Dr. Judy Barreiro, M.D

Board-certified physician. Paramedical tattoo artist. Breast cancer survivor.

Dr. Judy brings a rare combination of medical training and artistic skill to every procedure. Her background in women's health gives her a clinical understanding of post-surgical skin that most tattoo artists simply don't have, and her experience as a survivor gives her a personal understanding that no textbook can teach.

My Story

I practiced medicine for years before I ever picked up a tattoo machine. As a board-certified OB-GYN, I spent my career caring for women through some of the most important and vulnerable moments of their lives. It was work I loved, and it is work I still do today.

But something changed when I saw how many women felt incomplete after breast cancer surgery. Reconstruction restored their shape, but for so many, a piece was still missing. I kept hearing the same thing: "I just don't feel like myself anymore." And I understood, because I am a breast cancer survivor too.

That led me to paramedical tattooing, and specifically to 3D areola restoration. I realized I could use my steady hands, my understanding of skin and anatomy, and my experience as both a physician and a survivor to help women see themselves in the mirror again.

Posh MD Studio grew from there. Today we offer areola restoration, Procell microchanneling, and red light therapy. Every service is delivered with the same care: unhurried attention, a calm environment, and respect for what brought you here.
